4.3 Data Storage:

 

All users that are responsible for the secure storage of sensitive Watts or customer data

 

must do so only in conformance to this policy. Desktop users must use the appropriate

 

network drives when available. Sensitive Information must never be saved to the local C

 

drive. All data stored on any Watts owned laptop must be secured using full disk

 

encryption.

 

 

Also, in accordance with the Watts IT Policy Manual: The use of unencrypted

 

personal flash drives or other unencrypted USB data storage devices (including,

 

personal smart devices, smart phones etc.) are not allowed. At no time are downloads

 

(or uploads) from personal smart phones permitted to/from any Watts owned/hosted

 

computers. The downloading or uploading of any sensitive information to a portable

 

unencrypted USB drive will be monitored for, and is considered to be a serious violation

 

of this policy.
